Sloter couldn't possibly be worse than Siemian. Nothing short of him actually getting to play in the NFL and failing could convince me of that.

Beyond that he is 17th in QB Rating in intermediate throws and 30th on the deep ball.
Don't we have a QB that could put some zip on the ball?

Oh wait, he's in Minnesota now.
I guess you and me saw two very different things when it came to Sloter. I thought he should some promise but not a lot. If the WR isn't wide open he doesn't do well. Against 3rd string guys in preseason guys are running open all over the field. Regular season as the starter though that is just not the case.
I know. I'm just being petulant over our current QB situation. As far as I'm concerned, Sloter was the only QB we had in the preseason that actually moved our offense forward. Sure it was against vanilla defenses stocked with 3rd and 4th stringers no longer in the league, but after witnessing the first Broncos shutout in 25 years, I'm willing to mock Siemian by saying he's worse than an undrafted rookie.
Paxton Lynch did start practicing again this week. So could be seeing him here in a week or two.
That's the best news I've heard in 3 days.
Paxton Lynch practiced today. Remember, we get Ray back on Monday.
Talking with a scout of the Chargers this is what I got
We can read Siemian presnap. They know if run or pass and which direction before the ball is even hiked. Trevor does something with his upper body to tell the play. Noticed it week 1 and they started exploiting that and that’s when he started to play poorly as the book is out on Trevor without the toolkit to fall back on. He also tilts his head to the side presnap so he can see the receiver and coverage on where he’s going.
Screens he has the foot on the side it’s going sitting back a little. Easy presnap read.
Runs is the same but his foot is a little farther back and in the direction the run is going. Or at least the handoff direction, and without counters being called it’s easy to crash down on the run.
Furthermore Siemian lacks the tools to make the defense pay. Running the edge rushers deep around the arc because he drifts back in the pocket, with the ball low easy for a strip, and running right into pressure, it’s a matter of time before he gets himself killed. He needs to know his limitations and get rid of the ball to protect possession and himself.
When pressured he will throw up some horrible passes off his back foot. Those are pick 6 city for any defense.
Trevor is the worst QB we will play all season and the Broncos offense will be lucky to win more than 2 more games this season if he continues to play this way going forward. Another wasted year of a good defense.
Some bad news though is that Jake Butt practiced all last week and because of soreness he is sitting out this week. So might be another couple of weeks before he is good to go.
What the f am I reading?
Found this post by some smart guy named Dr Cyanide 28 on Mile High Report. Didn't realize Siemian has been that easy for D's to read. No wonder he's been so terrible.
He lived up to his name tonight.
Seemed like a lot of players and coaches showing their frustration now during the game. Gonna be hard to keep it together in the locker room.
Who’s the alternate - Brock or Paxton? After the game Joseph wouldn’t commit to starting aSiemian. We’re getting close although sadly the alternates don’t seem any better but you gotta try something
