Them accepting a college scholarship, not being able to go straight to the NFL, being forced to attend classes, not being allowed to just pay their parents, them not being allowed to unionize, still having recruiting violations…countless things
They can make as much money as someone will pay them with the NIL and go to any school they want in the transfer portal.
I agree, all bowl games are is the chance for coaches to have an extra 3+ weeks to workout his team for next season. It can give many of the young guys a chance to play, while giving your team an all expenses paid trip to some city that is hosting the bowl game (hopefully a more tropical environment). There is no meaning to the games any longer, and any player that is leaving for the draft seems likely to skip the game.
