In that case they should have sent Rua down to stay active until they decided they wanted to actually use him. So I guess he will be used in day games following a night game when a lefty is on the mound.

Because he's a veteran and he's earned more than 3 games before being placed into a platoon. If we're still here a month into it, with the expected results, then I think the condemnation is deserved. But for now, Mitch gets the chance to show something.

If that was going to be the case then Rua should be at AAA until that time then. He will be no good to them with this kind of infrequent play.

That is always a possibility that makes no sense. Play em or send him down to play everyday til MM makes or breaks

You're panicking about playing time and we're less than 4 games into the season. There's no trend involved yet.

We've got 4 games on the west coast, and if they'd sent him down, and then "for whatever reason" they need him, he's a thousand miles away.

We're going to use the guy over the next 4 days. At least I feel confident in feeling this.
