Brees was just traded for Stacy and Kap. Is this fair??? Im partial to the top QBs so I think the one getting Brees is dominating the trade

Its basically pick 7 for pick 28 and 73 - the way the draft went

Keeper?

I think it's fair either way. Kap (right or wrong) is hip right now and Brees is getting older. Stacy was under the radar good last year.

I am not particularly high on either Stacy or Kap so I don't love the return for Brees, but in theory I would much rather have the RB and the lower ranked QB.

In many expert drafts, Stacy gets picked before Brees, so yes the deal is more than fair. But you know me, I would argue that Brees should have been pick 17 instead of pick 7.

This... Also I think Kap is highly overrated. Probably still a little bitter over him ruining one of my FF seasons last year. Him & David Wilson... :L

I would rather have Brees in this trade. But if the person trading him is in need of a RB, then it is more than fair.

People get too hung up on draft spots I think. Not to say it isn't important, but many times lower drafted players out perform the higher drafted ones.

I think the teams' needs need to be taken into consideration here. If one team felt they wanted a top QB, and the other felt he could give one away and the pieces he were receiving fit his team better, it's fair.

You have to remember that not everyone values the same players the way you do.

The only problem I have with this - Its a 40 team league- broken up into 4- 10 team divisions. Lots of money on the line. It just so happened that a player in my division retired from the league. Enter a new player. The new player took Brees . He drafted his first RB in round 12. He took Prater and SF defense in rounds 8 and 9. He could have taken Seattle.

The new player could have had Stacy at 27 , but took Garcon. Im just real ethical when it comes to FF and try to be as fair as possible. I felt bad last season for trading Brandon Marshall for Dez Bryant.

If you are playing for fun- then to me this is fine, but when lots of money is at stake - you start watching for things

the first trade offered was Jordy Nelson and Stacy for Brees. To me thats a good trade. He declined that and took Kap and Stacy. His other QB is Wilson, not to mention Some pretty decent QBs in Free Agent market after draft

I thought I was robbing the guy with getting Dez over Marshall. They were pretty equal.

He sounds like a guy I would not allow in my leagues. If he isn't drafting RB's in a 10 team league until round 12 and taking kickers and defenses before hand, then why does he all of a sudden want Stacy? And yeah, if he has Wilson there is pretty much no difference to Kaepernick. I would make sure these two aren't in cahoots and/or if he's s troll. It's one thing if you miss on players, but it's another taking kickers before running backs.

Hard to judge without the entire rosters. Seems if the Brees owner turned down Jordy as part of the deal, he doesn't see a need at WR - - or maybe he has another buyer for Kap.
Collusion aside, most times trades only make sense to those involved. This doesn't raise any major red flags to me.

right , im saying you made a trade of top tier wr's

if someone has differing views on someone, then you both think you won the trade

most times one side will always win a trade, its rarely very equal in the END

kudos for taking a swap of top tier wr's for one you think will be better......

but my point is , no need to feel bad you made a move thats what its about!

He is really solid at WR already. If I was him though I would have taken Nelson and picked up whichever QB the other owner dropped. He had Kap and RG3. I would have then used Nelson to trade.

No collusion between the two. I doubt they even know each other. I think he is just a new owner with a lot of money to blow

all and all besides any details

Stacy/Kap for Brees is a fair trade im not high on Kap and if i had wilson i would take Nelson/Stacy before Kap/Stacy---however straight up value it is within the range of being perfectly fair no matter which side of the fence anyone's opinion may be

Stupid drafting leads to overpaying for positions you're lacking because of stupid drafting.................not a trade I'd make but I would hope I wouldn't be in that position. It's obvious he was in need of RB's and the other owner in the deal was gonna fleece him for all he could. Who vouched for this guy anyway?

That is a horrible trade. You are saying that he was offered Nelson and Stacy? You are way far overvaluing Brees. I could make a better case for either Nelson or Stacy straight up for Brees than both of them for Brees.

Clearly the owner getting Stacy needs an RB. It does not look like he knows what he is doing, but I say that based on his draft, not this trade.

This issue is a slippery one, because you cannot simply veto a trade like this one because it was made in good faith. The only way to fix an issue like this is to boot the bad owner. He has got to be totally incompetent if he prefers Kaeps over Jordy Nelson.

Dont know. Its a 40 team league. We have players from Tennessee to Seattle. I have to give kudos to the owner that got Brees. I just looked at the new guys page- he is a huge Vanderbilt fan - Stacy's alma mater.

It probably is a fair trade. Im more than likely jealous because now the guy who got Brees is really stacked.
