^ He is the top trending sports person right now. Will be very interesting how this unfolds, wonder if the truth is he doesn't want to play in Raleigh or just won't sign an extension? Truly thinking he doesn't want to be there.

So the teams interested in Rantanen curious to see how the cap would work. Stars are the best shot.
The Canes don't have much cap space to retain salary and take on players.
The Leafs yeah good luck with that one.
The Kings would need to do player swaps with the Canes to level the cap or hope for some retention from the Canes.
The Stars could as long as Seguin stays on LTIR the rest of the season.

I thought that was the Blue Jays motto.

Yeah, it applies to the Jays as well. To be fair, Tre was an B- GM in my opinion, certainly above average who made some good moves, but there was a few head scratchers as well. There's no denying that Toronto is a more attractive market than Calgary for the majority of players, though.

Just an utterly incompetent GM. Unfortunately our owners don't pay any attention to this team so he'll be here awhile

Dumoulin really upped his trade value with that goal last night against VCR.
Anaheim Ducks dealt defenseman Brian Dumoulin to the New Jersey Devils for a second-round pick and prospect Herman Traff, reports TSN's Pierre LeBrun.

Dumoulin is a pending unrestricted free agent who carries a $3.15-million cap hit, per PuckPedia. However, the Ducks retained 50% of the 33-year-old blue-liner's salary in the swap, and the second-rounder is in this year's draft, according to LeBrun.
