Are the Blue Jacket players blameless in the current state of affairs? No
Is the GM blameless? No
BUT, Tortorella and the point fingers and blame all and bench all attitude, the 'If you just did what I want you would win' attitude....for a system that has been proven to be beatable unless you have exactly the right balance of players/goaltending.
How does he keep getting hired? Who does he have pictures of?
Torts is running the same forecheck/neutral zone attack/counter attack that he used in Tampa and with the Rangers. It failed miserably with the Canucks because the team was not built for it. Guess what, neither are the Blue Jackets. The Blue Jackets were build for a system more along the lines of Hakstol's swarm and reform in Philly or Laviolette's pressure zone in Nashville.
It's a shame. So much promise wasted.
