Soliai's price tag goes up

Heading into the opening of the free agent market, there were two players set to become available that had excelled as the 0-technique or nose tackle in a three-man front: Sione Pouha of the New York Jets and Paul Soliai of the Miami Dolphins. After Monday morning, we're down to one, as ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reports that Pouha has gotten a three-year deal from the Jets.
Looking back over previous buzz on Soliai's suitors, two 3-4 teams that are obvious fits are the Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers. However, Soliai's presence would also be a nice boost to a number of 4-3 teams, and clubs like the Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos and Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- amongst a slew of others with a need on the interior D-line -- could show some interest depending on the price tag.
Speaking of that price tag, it'll be interesting to see what Pouha received from the Jets. Poliai just turned 28 this past December, while Pouha celebrated birthday No. 33 in February, so it's conceivable that he'll want a longer term and a bigger guarantee. And given the long list of teams that will be after him, he's in a spot with a lot of leverage.
