My first 4 are easy (and probably pretty popular) - Sea, NYJ, Buf and Den. After that it's tough. Need to think about it.

Cowboys have a chance to be close to this when hardy, mcclain and Gregory return. Jones has really improved the back end.

I don't know about rankings, but now that Kam is back, the Seahawks have the best defense in the NFL
:L

One player does not make a defense. But a defensive coordinator can make a defense. Seattle won't be the same without Quinn. Coaching is very important for a defense.

True in most cases. I fill confidant in saying without JJ Watt the Texans defense would be awful. He is their everything and masks every flaw that defense has. W/O Watt and now Clowney (who's been injured his entire career) name a significant player on that defense. So my point is never say never cause there's always exceptions to every rule. As fore has Kam making the Seahawks better, we shall see.

Maybe what might be being missed on the Seattle Defense. Kam was their leader & sorta the QB of the Defense. ironically he was looked at (from media) as one of the least important DBs for seattle, but to me the most important DB. I personally & have said in the past. I would have taken Kam over Thomas. of course on this team I would have taken either.

The Texans defense is not that good with Watt and they don't win.

You get the feeling the story line for the season is already written.

Plenty of seasons the offense was good enough to compete in the playoffs but was held back by the
Defense.

But now the offense is in dire straights, and the defense comes calling to make things right.

Time of possession, Atlanta 35:13 Dallas 25:47. End of story. For the last year, that number has been reversed. It's kind of like Apollo said in Rocky 3..."with the pace we've gotta set, Rock can last, maybe 7 or 8 rounds". With all the missing pieces, the D has gotten by on great effort and hustle. That's not gonna happen for 35 minutes with the players we have out
