Holy shit. This one is a lot tougher than I was expecting...

OPS+ seasons...

120+
Goslin = 9
Yaz = 12

140+
Goslin = 6
Yaz = 6

150+
Goslin = 3
Yaz = 4

160+
Goslin = 1 (176)
Yaz = 3 (193, 177, 171)

Yaz was slightly better in this regard, but not a run-away.

Goslin was a slight base-stealer, but never stole more than 27 in a single season. He only had 2 seasons of 20+ SBs with a 75% or better rate. Yaz was a career 60% stealer. He never had more than 23 in a year, but he was caught 13 times that year.

Goslin wins here, but it could hardly be considered a strength in his game, so it is hard to give him any real edge.

Yaz had a rep as a good defender, so I will give him that edge.

Yaz finished top 10 in MVP voting 5 times with 1 win. Goslin finished top 10 3 times, but he played in the era with only 1 winner each year.

I will go with Yaz in a VERY close competition.

As a kid I never had a PBJ on Goslin bread.

Edge Yaz and Yaz Bread.

It's close if you completely remove Yaz's '67, '68 and '70 seasons.

Yaz's BAs were affected by the high mound era. Hell, he led the league one year with a .301 BA. I give him the edge, though I agree -- closer than expected for a 5-12 matchup.
