Pujols- Career=9.9, Best=7.5, # of 499+PA seasons=8, MLB average= 18(8.1)

Postseason- Pujols wins(NOT CLOSE) but Foxx only played 17 games vs pujols 77.

Career longevity- Pujols wins(nearly 300 more PA)- this surprised me
Positional longevity- Foxx wins( 200 more games)
#499+ PA seasons- Foxx=13 Pujols=14

Foxx is the clear winner in this analysis...

OPS+ (Foxx/Pujols)
120 - 14/10
130 - 13/9
140 - 11/8
150 - 10/7
160 - 8/6
170 - 7/5
180 - 6/2
190 - 2/1 (207, 201 / 192)

Pujols was a stud. But Foxx wins this hands down.

Accolades
Foxx - 3 MVP, 6 top 10 MVP, 9 ASG
Pujols - 3 MVP, 11 top 10 MVP, 10 ASG, 2 GG, 6 SS

I actually gotta give this to Pujols, even without the GG and SS factored in. If not for Bonds, Pujols would have had 3 additional MVPs.

This is a tough one. Foxx has the comparative statistical advantage, but Pujols was more recognized during his playing days as one of the best players in the game.

I gotta go with Foxx, but I can really see a STRONG argument for going against the numbers and voting Pujols.

Pujols is one reason i hate WAR... His WAR is higher than Foxx not because he is better, it is because the replacement value at the other positions he played(3B,RF) were much worse...
