Just a quick note. I think Runs Scored is kind of an underrated stat. And Mike Trout led the league in Runs 4 times. (1 less than Rickey Henderson). It gets overlooked but Trout is a multifaceted player. He's a guy with power, but he also takes his walks and has a .410 lifetime OBP and early in his career was a big stolen base threat. And his stolen base success rate is 85%.
I know you already said those were cherry picked stats but I just wanted to point that out.

trout was mostly a top of the lineup guy so it is not surprising to score so many runs... he did the job asked of him...

I had a post in an earlier thread comparing Mike Schmidt to Henderson... used Runs for Henderson and RBIs for Schmidt..

I don't disregard runs... at all... but even if I included it, my point would have been the same...

could you offer some insight into your vote? You are an intelligent poster, so maybe you can shed some light into why Griffey should be considered over Foxx or Pedro.

Yeah I get it. I just think in general Runs are under valued by most. And on a side note, Schmidt was a 3 hitter who was The guy in the lineup so it's hard for someone like that to lead the league in RBI because no one wants him to beat them. (he did help Greg Luzinski rack up some RBIs though). Of course the extreme case was Bonds, who only led the league in RBI once, cause when he was having him mid life resurgence who would ever want to pitch to him with guys on base? (But I'm sure he made some cleanup hitters look pretty good)

Changing it back to Jamie Foxx. Thank you too whoever for letting me off the hook so I can keep my first decision.

I think I will do the same, because I could go either way on Pedro vs Foxx but this helps eliminate Griffey
