I thought there was a strong possibility that Pedro was going to win, but this is not at all what I was expecting…

Most of the Griffey voters switched to Pedro, which makes sense (take a look). A lot of the Griffey support is from people who just prefer voting for players they knew and saw play, who made an impression on them personally. Foxx is just numbers on a page.

And this is perfectly fine with me, Father Time is undefeated and recency bias is no less valid than any other biases we bring to this...this is just arguing about sports not rocket surgery.

I just think this entire exercise has run its course. Don’t get me wrong…it was cool/interesting for much of this run. It just kind of ran out of steam after about #15, or so.

The people that joked that we would eventually argue Kent Hrbek v. Jim Gantner might yet be vindicated, however.

Then just go away. The rest of us are still having fun. TBH it's more interesting to me now when like 20 players can all be looked at for these spots. The first 7 or so were pretty obvious.

Up to cal when to stop but I wouldn't be surprised if it's around 30, right when the season is about to start.
