Speaking of DiMaggio, yeah there's a 'mystique' bonus with him but it's just an add on. Mystique alone doesn't get you there or people would be repping Jeter or Reggie or Ripken more. You need to be in the mix then mystique gets you bonus points, like DiMaggio and Koufax and Cy Young

The seven hitters I compared, I believe, are the ones who are the top 7 to pick. Yes, DiMaggio is in the mix, but I think his mystique is giving him bonus points over the other 6.
And mystique is really giving Griffey, Jr a boost. The fact that he is getting serious looks now has mainly to do with his mystique.
