Wow, what a flawless game by seattle.
Also, I made a pretty flawless bucket of chili.

I never fell asleep during the Super Bowl before, but congrats to the Seahawks & their fans! Quite a dominant performance throughout. Really shocked the Broncos even scored 8.

I'll admit I have a hockey bias, but I honestly feel that this year's Winter Classic will go down as a more memorable event than this year's Super Bowl. In a way, it was a good day for hockey.

thanks mattola ... I honestly thought they were gonna get fucked again ... horrible sinking feeling was there even after the safety ... just about put my beer through my bro-in-laws tv when this happened and they lost the challenge

No kidding, after they had the safety I yelled OMAHA out my window to my neighbour who was having a super bowl party with a bunch of bronco fans and all I heard was fuck off. So every time there was a turnover I yelled omaha with fuck off coming back was pretty fun.

I could just see after the safety this was Seattle's game. They just looked ready to go and were so solid defensively. However yeah for an actual game it was terrible but for watching for a team that I wanted to win I really enjoyed myself. I'm glad the hawks have it. It kind of gives me a slight edge of hope that the Canucks can win being on the wetcoast... oh wait its the Canucks. I guess Ill take what I can get

Everyone kept focusing on the spot of the ball during the challenge, but what you can't tell from the picture is whether his knee was down before stretching out the ball. Perhaps that was why the challenge was lost?

/just saying, I didn't watch

It well could be the case, dare, but I didn't hear any such explanation on the telecast. It looked to me that the ball was out of bounds first before any knee touched down, but it's a moot point now.

Yeah, it's all academic at this point, but I like discussing academic things. :)

The thing is let's say the spot was a lot closer to a first down, but shy by a couple of inches. Does Seattle gamble on 4th down and if they do and Denver stops them, then how does the game unfold? Likely wouldn't have made much of a difference, but it would have been fun to see what Pete would have done early in the game.

They did adjust the spot based on the replay challenge, but they still lose the challenge because the NFL's replay rule (stupidly) says that you only win the challenge on the spot if it results in a first down or touchdown if it was not ruled a first down or touchdown originally (or the opposite if the D challenges).
