The Seahawk offense looks good so far this half. They just need the defense to get a stop.

What the HECK Seattle?! Sorry, got back to school in time for the start of the second and to see a 20 point lead for ATL. Didn't see that coming. I'm really not a believer in the Falcons though.

You don't have to believe in them, but they're almost one win from the Super Bowl. So you gotta give them some props.

And also to not have been down 20-0 to start...

Because the defense wasn't getting stops, largely, and the coaches didn't know how to call plays or manage the clock when there was a chance for Seattle to score...

You can blame it on the coaches. But they were getting dominated on the line - running game not working, pressure on the passer, and the D was clamping down in the red zone to boot.

The Falcons deserve a lot of credit. The front 4 especially. Everyone is disrespecting the Falcons b/c this is a VERY Seattle centric group on here.

Can someone tell me why the heck Matt Ryan's nickname is Matty Ice? Don't you have to be, I dunno, clutch in big situations for that nickname? Been in the league 5 years, this is his fourth postseason, and he's going for his FIRST W.

You don't think a 0-3 postseason record with Smith as coach and Ryan as QB has anything to do with it? Not to mention a choking postseason history for Atlanta sports teams in general?

Sure. And I don't like Falcons. But let's give credit where it's due. But no, I never think history from 10 years ago hampers a team now.

But on that note, does Seattle have some great record in the postseason? It might be the worst pro sports team town in America.

I just think Seattle's a better overall team. I think their defense is much better than Atlanta's, and Atlanta's offense is only a little better than Seattle's.

I don't disagree. That has nothing to do with what has happened today.

Why deflect back to Seattle? The topic I thought was Atlanta being disrespected. On topic, respect needs to be earned and if Atlanta holds on and wins today, they'll earn some respect.

Sure it does. I still think Seattle's defense is good enough to steal this game. I also think Atlanta's recent history suggests they might let Seattle's defense steal the game.

Not really deflecting. Most here giving credit to Seattle, but not Atlanta. Correct. NEITHER team has any history of postseason success, so it's a useful comparison. If it were a postseason choker vs. a team that always performs in the playoffs, I'd understand that point. But given what it is, I don't see that as a good explanation here. That's all.
