I hope it is Seahawks - Niners next week...

God I hope the Seahawks lose. I hope they get fucking pummeled. But I think they probably win.

By the by, congrats Comeds and Ravens' fans. The dream of a Flacco/Brady showdown is alive. Wait, was that the matchup we hoped for?

I am not a big Peyton Manning fan or anything, but I think he got thrown under the bus a bit by CBS tonight. During the postgame show I don't think they needed to say they tried to interview Manning but he declined. They didn't need to say that.

And it was cool of Peyton to go over and wait patiently to say something to Ray, he didn't need to do that either.

I know Manning will probably get the blame for the loss. All QB's do, but I really think Fox is the one who blew it. All they needed was a 1st down on 3rd & 5 & they ran the ball too kill the clock. After the TD to tie the game they still had 31 seconds left & 2 timeouts. The Broncos should have at least tried to get into field goal range.

I agree with all of this. I have no idea why they didn't try a quick throw on that third-and-five. The underneath stuff was there all night for Peyton.

And if anyone was to blame for the Broncos losing, it was their secondary. There was no reason for that tying touchdown to have happened.

The tying touchdown was the killer. I don't think I ever saw as bad of defense in that situation. If they tackle him after he catches it the game may have been different.

Now the INT in OT was bad. While I don't think Peyton is to blame I don't get absolving him from blame like I have seen on some networks tonight. He wasn't great.

Devils advocate - if its an incomplete on a pass attempt on the 3rd and 5 Fox gets teamed for that. I at least understand that call. The late tying TD was the big mistake IMO.

Whether it worked or not, I would have thought passing on that 3rd and 5 was the right call.

And the interception was bad. I think he went to the right guy with it, he just made a really terrible throw. Over the top, Stokely was open, but Manning threw it low and behind him, right to the defender.

Ironic that as far as the QB match-up went, it was a Packers fan that defeated the 49ers fan.

I don't disagree but tons of people would. Run or pass, if it didn't work people would pick it apart. The conventional call, the run at least keeps the clock running.
