Doing something like that fits Howard Lincoln's style perfectly though so I won't be at all shocked if it happens. On 29 other teams the search for president is over when La Russa submits his resume. With the Mariners who the hell knows. But if the Mariners hire yet another yes man from within and let La Russa get away that will be the final straw for me. I'll be done with this team.
