IMO, the last thing the conference wants is Texas to win this game. A playoff spot is MUCH more lucrative for the conference. Oklahoma is their last hope, and if they can win in a fairly convincing way, they have a shot at getting that 4th spot. Although I think the advantage would be with Ohio State right now...unfortunately.
