Also heard that if you try to watch movies through it, the kinect can detect each person and will charge you according to the number of people watching. Boom goes the dynamite.

Yeah, I would like to say the days of the $700 mass marketed gaming systems are a thing of the past but you never really know. I know I'm not spending that much on one, no more than I play anyway I'd just keep what I've got.

Only rumored detail so far that irks me is the constant internet connection. That's BS. I shouldn't have to be connected to the internet to play single player games.

Not a fan of that either. The only time I hook mine up online is to do updates en sech. I really don't even play enough anymore to want to play online.

Yeah, same here. I only played online with people I knew. I can't stand random 12 year old pricks ruining games with their constant shrieking. But as I got older, more and more of my friends stopped playing online as much so I ditched my XBL subscription. If there's something I really want to play, I'll get like a month pass or something. So I rarely go online for much of anything. The constant connection would be a big turn off for me. If Sony doesn't require one, that may swing me to their side

The Next Xbox Will Require an Internet Connection To Start Games, Sources Say

Looking more and more like the new console will require a constant internet connection. So many sources keep saying it so there must be some truth to it.

My thoughts are still the same. Total bullshit. I've been a fan of the Xbox over the Playstation since the first Xbox but I'm strongly considering jumping ship if this turns out to be true. With Mass Effect and Gears of War being essentially over, the only Microsoft exclusive that I care about is Halo. I'm not buying a console with a bullshit feature just to play Halo.
