I just dislike spanish because everyone thinks it's so important. How about instead, I have my kids learn Japanese, Russian, and German so they can get a job with any company in the English speaking world as translators?

Yup, that's another language a lot of kids are being forced to choke down so... I'll stick with making mine learn Japanese, German, and Russian.

That seems like a random one... and stop hating on Spanish. I speak it, which means it's awesome.
