50% is the teams you faced and 25% is the teams that those teams faced. Then the last 25% is your wins and losses.

So I assume a couple of our opponents' opponents must have moved up drastically or somethin.

Yea that's what makes the RPI so different. It's a lot like that Football program I made a couple years ago because it takes into account the teams that you win and lose to and what they do as well, but it also takes into account what the teams they have faced are doing as well.

It digs down a few layers to really determine if your wins are quality or not.

So for instance, let's say Providence moved up 10 spots (I have no idea if they moved up or not).......that actually helps Nebraska just because of the fact that Creighton played them in the Big East and we played Creighton.

It seems messed up, but in the end it does a pretty good job in determining how good your opponents really are.

Basically we benefit from a lot of teams that we don't even play against.

Now, obviously it also helps a lot when you're in a Conference like the Big 10.....because no matter what, at the end of Conference play we will have faced 11 different teams a total of 18 times who all have very difficult schedules because they all played each other.
