I'm no fan of baseball, but I'll still be pulling for the Husker baseball team to win the conference title. Maybe the football team can now win a conference title too since they ditched the Tito favored old footballs!
#18 Indiana has won 14 of their last 15 games. (L Minnesota)
#24 Nebraska has won 12 of their last 13 games. (L Illinois)
There has never been a home run hit to center field at TD Ameritrade. Don't expect that to happen today with a 10 mph SSE wind. Left field is a possibility.
Nobody "hated" him.
I was uncomfortable with hiring someone with zero experience in coaching and had expectations of at least regionals out of this program.
All I've ever said about him was that if he let the program go sideways this year, there would be grumbling across Husker fandom.
Regardless of what happens today, he's definitely bought more time.
I like Erstad, I even liked Anderson. It's all about what you do with the program though, Anderson let the program slip down the drain so he had to go. Erstad wasn't doing much better even half way into this year but he really pulled the team together and turned it around mid-season.
