Have you seen where UConn is located? That they can get any player to go there is amazing. Its the fucking sticks. Syracuse is at least a legit city.

UCONN is within an hour of a few major cities. Recruiting has never been a problem in that area regardless if it's in the sticks. They are getting top recruits from NYC, Philly, and probably the DC area. Syracuse is a dump and I apologize to anyone from Syracuse. You go off campus and you are in the hood. Once Boeheim retires, it's probably over for basketball, or at least not at the same level. This is new territory for the women's team. This is good for their program. @jonvi probably can give you more insight than I can.

I'm just a hick from desolate West Texas, but I visited the Corning, Finger Lakes and Buffalo areas a few years ago and it was anything but "shit"! Damn nice...but it was in September.

OK, now you are thinking about wine country which is far different than the off campus Syracuse area. Not all of Syracuse is a shithole. I love the Finger Lakes, heck I love my wine. I have no probs with central NY. Tell that to the 18 year old kid who wants to enjoy the nightlife and has access to the major cities or warmer weather instead of 8' of snowfall and sub zero temps.

It's shameful that a #10 seed like Syracuse is in the final four. A black eye for NCAA basketball.

It's tough to understand how the favored team can blow such a big lead.

A top rated team should make it to the Final Four and not a #10 rated team.

ND has a great game plan in place to limit the tempo and are matching NC shot for shot but they have to get more defensive rebounds. That is the big weakness for ND that I see.

2009 UNC was lucky Jerome dyson got hurt so the were able to sidestep UConn.
