Nebraska is a northern team. Getting here in 2001, 2002, and 2005 was quite an accomplishment. They also don't have near the economic and recruiting resources Texas does though, right? That's what you Texas peeps keep throwing in peoples faces regarding why you'll forever dominate college athletics in everything.

So Cal - 21 trips to CWS (12 Championships) (11 since 1958)
ASU....- 22 trips to CWS (5 Championships) (All since 1965)
LSU.... - 16 trips to CWS (6 Championships) (All since 1986)
Texas. - 34 trips to CWS (6 Championships) (4 in 32 trips since 1952)


That's why Texas fans don't travel well to the CWS. The percentage of actual championships is atrocious. It's also why they refused to come out of their locker room and accept the Runner-Up Trophy.

When Nebraska gets to the Finals and actually wins I'll take the shit of those assholes winning something, until then STFU. Win something and write from facts. Nebraska, a bunch of corn suckers and nothing else.

The only problem is you don't see Nebraska or anybody else on the message boards pounding their chests telling everybody how great they are and how much better their resources are and how great they'll always be.

For every advantage you Texas fans like to constantly throw in everybody's face, your institution is an abject failure.

He has 0 knowledge on how to manage a bull pen. Which has ultimately cost us many games/series/PLAYOFFS (like this season). Has no clue how to coach the bases, LSU was 4 in attempts I believe and dead last in the conference in successful stolen bases. Bama was 13th with successful stolen bases and was dead last in attempts. Tries to over coach instead of letting the kids play, then doesn't coach when he needs too. I have been going religiously for the past 3 seasons so this isn't talking out of my ass. This is the same thing game in and game out, I'm fed up with it.

Only 3 National Seeds even made it as far as the 8 Super Regionals (#3, #6, #7). All three have been pushed to three games.

Of the other 5 Super Regionals (of which none were National Seeds), only Stanford and Vanderbilt had to play 3.

I do agree with the stolen bases comment, then again with stats like that you would have to agree. I don't see the mismanagement of the bullpen tho and plus Dunn has a lot to do with who pitches and when, not Mainieri.

Yeah, I already pointed that out in an earlier post. Four in the last 62 years. The other two were in 1949 and 1950.

As a Terp fan, I definitely want MD to advance to their very first CWS, but, at the same time, this is MD's farewell season from the ACC, too. UVA is MD's rival and I will miss not seeing them on the regular season schedule in all sports.

If MD doesn't pull off the win, I wish UVA all the best and want them to represent the ACC with pride.

With that said ...

Let's kick some Wahoe booty, MD! GO, TERPS!

Why am I not surprised?

Texas has 2 Titles in the 21st Century and 2 runnerups, tied with South Carolina in both categories. Oregon State also has 2 Titles.

I doubt we will add to the total during this CWS. We're lucky just to get there.

Not to belittle what USC did, but they were good at a much less competitive time. Not saying those titles mean less, just saying it was easier to do back in the day.
