Hate to hear that. I've said from beginning he's a long shot to make team. Hope I'm wrong. Just seems like he will show potential then end up in Philly or something

He said that Upshaw has a lot of work to do. Plus he's in terrible shape. Maybe Mitch is downplaying him a bit knowing he's an unrestricted free agent, but ultimately wants to sign him.

I don't have high hopes for Upshaw to be honest. I think our three centers for next season are Hibbert, Black and Sacre (in that order). Even if Upshaw does make the team he'll probably be in the D-League.

But one can always hope for the best. Hope he proves me wrong!

might be the wise thing to do...unless he truly DOES have 1st round talent. we'll see I guess...

yeah, signing him wouldn't cost much, and he may be a guy worth developing.

who knows. maybe we have too high of hopes for him versus reality.

We didn't spend all of our cap space on the FAs we signed and we have monies to sign this guy. If Mitch is sold on this guy, he should lock him up and send him to the D-league.
