i don't think it is right to say addictions are just mental. there is much more to it than that. my family has a history of addictive behaviors...it's not something to take lightly. some people have that switch in their brain that causes them to be addicted. some people could try the most addictive substance in the world and it wouldn't affect them. on the other hand, someone with addictive tendencies can get hooked on something far less addicting.
