the rest of the East has just been rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic since Oct. 28th. A big ole Ice Berg is coming their way.

well this is what i never got when people said it was more likely the Cavs would lose in the EAst than beat the Warriors....Kind of like what the Warriors have done to the other 29 teams?

what- you said you think its like 3-1 odds?- I said i thought it was like 2-1 odds in the Finals against the Warriors?
what were the Cavs to get out of the East? what kind of odds would u have had to have gotten to pick another team? 10-1? even then....i think thats fairly conservative...
thats why i never understood that sentiment.

i think it was severely underestimated how well Lue would do- and how much Blatt was holding the Cavs back.Because the statement wasn't made based on Vegas odds. The statement was made because at the time, the Heat were playing well and it looked like Bosh would be back. It was also made because there were 3 teams in the West that could beat the Cavs. The Warriors will be favored vs. the Cavs, the Spurs would have been favored and OKC is likely even money or a slight underdog.
Most felt, and probably still do, that a healthy Heat team had a better chance of beating the Cavs than the Cavs had of beating the Warriors or Spurs.
Also, you are looking at Vegas odds as they are now. It's a pretty safe bet that if the Heat were healthy, the Cavs odds of winning the ECF drop significantly. They'd still be favored, but it wouldn't be close to the 10-1 they're getting vs. the Raptors.

Lue is a MUCH MUCH better coach for this team and probably for the first time in his career LeBron likes the guy he is playing for- and he also holds lebron accountable- good for him- that is a helluva balancing act- both being LeBrons guy- but also straddling that line and holding him accountable. Lue deserves a ton of credit for that.
i CERTAINLY did not think so but i suppose everyone is entitled to their opinion.Maybe, but even with Lue, a healthy Heat team is still more likely to beat the Cavs in the ECF than the Cavs are to beat the Warriors or Spurs.

I believe there is a better chance Bill Belicheck becomes Donald Trumps running mate than their was of the Heat even causing the Cavs a second though- let alone beating them.

yup...i guess you had to be delusional to pick the Thunder to win in 6 against the Spurs......Yes, but you're delusional. So there's that.

i mean you can hate on Lue all you want...hes gotten tons of credit locally, nationally, around the team...from everyone who watches basketball and pay attention other than a precious few that have an agenda against him and the Cavs.Spoelstra is the only man who has ever coached James knowing he didn't have to be afraid of losing his job if James disagreed with him.
And Lue held him accountable for what?
His love affair with Wade during halftime in Miami?
They talked for minutes.
Wonder why Lue didn't break it up while it was actually happening.
Maybe, but even with Lue, a healthy Heat team is still more likely to beat the Cavs in the ECF than the Cavs are to beat the Warriors or Spurs.
We might have to start thinking Thunder.
They might have peaked at the perfect time.
