The test they received from the Bulls prepared them for the finals. This year everything been easy for them. Have yet to face a pressure situation in a series where they needed to win
True. Toronto and Miami can do that I think depending on how all the injuries shake out.

No doubt there will be a huge step up in competition from ECF to finals

FTR....Last year the Cavs handled that step up well and didn't need a game or two to adjust from sweeping the injured hawks to playing the best team in the league.

The first 3 games were their best and they were up 2-1, even with starting on the road.

At this point, if the Cavs make the finals I'll be very happy with whoever they get to play.

If it's GSW... win or lose Cavs will destroy the stupid theory that they benefited from losing two of their best players.

If it's OKC, they get home court advantage!

And either way, they get a decent shot at Cleveland's first nba title.
very good point...

i mean- how fun is the playoffs though overall? its just too cool to havea team that goes deep every single year.....

nothing better than watching the game on TNT and going out to celebrate a CAvs win afterwards....

I doubt Spurs fans are celebrating much.
Going deep in the playoffs is a failure if you are a championship or bust situation like the Cavs are.
You think Heat fans had fun when we lost to the Mavs or Spurs?

Celebration after beating any team in the EC this year is just an excuse to get drunk.

As an excuse for drinking, I normally resort to major occasions like the sun going down at night.

FTR, it was the Warriors first time in a finals. We don't know if it took the Cavs a game or 2 to adjust because the Warriors looked like they were adjusting as well. Remember, 2 of the Cavs top 3 players don't really have finals experience. Love has never played a finals game and Kyrie played in what? 2 of last years games?

This year, I'd expect a much more confident Warriors team than the one the Cavs saw last year. Not saying that the Cavs will absolutely need a game or 2 to adjust to the step up in competition, just that it wouldn't surprise me if they did.

Cavs - i think- would need to split in OKC to be in position to win to start the series in all likelihood.....hte degree of difficulty goes way up if they lose those first two...

dont want to get ahead of ourselves...and if Bron sprains his ankle really bad in this next series- its all over anyway....but lets just hope the Cavs get to the Finals- and get their quickly and healthy.

Well that is certainly fair.

Good news for the Cavs is that if there's one person in the world that understands the dynamic of a step up in competition from the first 3 rounds to the Finals... its LeBron.

Yeah, I agree. I don't want to see a series where one team is shorthanded. Takes a lot of the fun out of it.

As for Lebron, he has certainly been blessed with great health, but there's always the danger of getting the first one at the wrong time. If I'm Lue, my goal is to get an insurmountable lead in each game, as soon as possible so I can get him off the court and wrap him in bubble wrap until the next game.

That does tend to help their cause a little.

James and Heat fans have at least 1 thing still in common.
Not much can happen that we haven't already seen (accept the Cavs win it all).
