Would Cavs fans want to see a series vs WC winner if James, Love and Tristan were out?
if the alternative was to seeing the Raptors without Valunciunas, Carroll and a banged up DeRozan- and i wanted to actually see something entertaining?

yah absolutely.

Dwade vs. LeBron - and LeBron and Riley- and all those story lines are far more intersting to me than anything Toronto has to offer

i understand- both are not the best of options- but weighing the two- I think the Heat series would be much more entertaining and enjoyable....maybe u disagree- certainly welcome to your opinion.

No. Because then they bring up the theory of what would the Western team look like if:

OKC were without Durant, Westbrook, and Adams
Spurs were without Aldridge, Leonard, and Duncan
Warriors were without Curry, Green, and Iguodala
kinda like the Cavs without Love, Irving, Varejao and a beat up Shumpert that couldnt lift his arm over his head....

I'd be invested in the Heat series.
I prob wouldn't watch the Raptors series.
As a Cavs fan, I see what you're saying, but from my end the last thing I ever want to see is James and the gang celebrating in front of me unless it was against our best players.

Not the same at all because you still had James.
If he was out and either or both Love/Kyrie played, it would have been 4 straight blowouts.

totally understandable...all though- that last year i was kinda hoping the Cavs made the playoffs and faced the James led heat as a 1-8 just because there would be no down-side---- no pressure what so ever....

it would be good to get Winslow, Richardson, Whiteside- further experience- and further be able to see Whiteside under the playoff lights- becuase personally nothing i have seen from him in the playoffs warrants a max deal....

I agree. It looks like this will be the Heat's young core for the coming years going into the post-Wade era. I'd like for those 3 to make it to a conference finals and experience that sting you get when another team goes to the Finals over you - it's a forgone conclusion at this point that Cleveland's going to the Finals (saying that one last time).

I gotta agree....

believe me...i have a lot of bluster at times....but OF COURSE when you get to this point of the postseason- as a Cleveland fan- you start thinking...

The Drive
The Shot
The Fumble
The Decision
Jose Mesa in the 9th of Game 7
Up 3-1 ALCS vs. Boston with the rights to face an overmatched Rockies team hanging in the balance
'95 Tribe- one of the top 5 lineups EVER- against a Braves pitching staff that was pre Q-Tec that got calls half a foot off the plate
Love having his arm ripped out of his socket
Pedro Martinez coming off the bench to pitch 6 damn near perfect innings
Pj Brown hitting big jumpers in a game 7- FUCKING PJ BROWN!

as traumatized as i am as a Cleveland sports fan--- its hard for me to even conceive them losing the ECF as things are presently situated. It would be a MONUMENTAL failure and immediately would go somewhere near the top of that above list.

I still remember that '97 series with the Marlins. I was so thankful that Mesa bombed that game being a Marlins fan.

I also forgot about PJ Brown. He was the sole reason I was hoping the Celtics would win the title in '08 as he was our hustle man on those late 90's Heat teams. Hell, he's one of my favorite all-time Heat players for flipping Charlie Ward's ass in game 5 of the '97 playoffs (2nd round I believe) and turned the series in our favor.

So far, it looks like Cleveland will go into the Finals completely healthy and get their actual chance against the Warriors. I want to see what both teams look like completely healthy facing one another. Who knows? Maybe Lebron's the one to lift the curse of the Land...maybe.

If you tell me we have Whiteside back, then sign me up even with Deng injured.

I'd like to watch that, even though I don't think it would go past 5.

I agree with your point... but Miami still has their LeBron. Miami's LeBron is Wade. I'm not sure what a good comparison to Bosh, Whiteside, & Deng would be... maybe Love, Kyrie, & Tristan

Bosh is the best player on the Heat when he's in the lineup. Wade is more like 1A

I can see that.

Weird how the Heat didn't seem to miss him (in the regular season). Is that just coincidental timing with the emergence of Whiteside & Richardson & Joe Johnson?

Faster pace in the regular season. In the playoffs as we all know the game slows down and baskets are tougher to find. Playoffs basketball suits Chris Bosh type of basketball.

True.

Bosh would've been a nightmare matchup for the Raptors. Hard to imagine the raptors winning a game with the way Derozan and Lowry have played this series.

I think it's because the game is slowed down.
Bosh was the one guy you could depend on to hit that 15' jumper when you were having trouble scoring.

At this point, we need to start Winslow at C, and keep UD , Amare on the bench.
Use more McBob and Tyler.

To be fair, it's a different beast once the playoffs come around. At that point, coaching can only do so much as talent takes over primarily.

I'm not sure what the news is on JV (in terms of being available for the ECF) but Carroll seems to be fine so at least Toronto would be much healthier compare to Miami if they met Cleveland.

Cavs still in 5 or less.
If Raptors get everyone back I could see it going 6, assuming we get the good DeRozen.
