not in the cards tonight.
not in the cards tonight.
jesus christ, I had no idea Matt Carpenter's turning 28 next month.
The reason Carpenter and Craig are at this level is because they kept working, though. Hard to get wisdom and experience on a young bodyAllen Craig will be 30 next summer. Nothing like letting your guys come along slowly.
Lester is fooling the Cards hitters with his movement. They are getting the bat on the ball but not where they want it
Cards stranding more runners.
Beltran is the bigger issue. The series is over without him.
Beltran was our best position player against the Dodgers and Pirates. We would've lost to both teams without him. To beat the Red Sox in a series without him would say more about the Red SoxNot sure I am gonna buy that but as a Boston fan in general I will take your word for it

Wainwright settling down but Cards need to start chipping away at that lead
I'd just always thought of them as young, rising stars. Not guys already in the middle if their prime age seasons. Don't mean to discount them at all. I know Craig played all for years at Cal. Thats rare for high end pros. And since my little sis works for the Golden Bears, I hear how their damn proud of him.
