you know that winners of conference tourneys get auto bids right?

That's not the point.

The teams that make it to the B1G tourney final are almost certainly NCAA bound anyway. But in years when someone has gone on a surprise run through the conference tourney, they're usually underseeded in the NCAAs because the committee doesn't consider it. I'm not talking about making the tourney or not, I'm talking about being a 5-seed vs. a 3-seed because the committee doesn't count a couple of high quality wins to end the season.

There's only a couple of games on Sunday. The committee is more than capable of saying: If Team X wins, our bracket will look like A. If Team Y wins, the bracket will look like B.

There's no evidence that they don't consider the Big Ten Championship game, and plenty of evidence that they do (like when MSU beat OSU two years ago and got the 1 despite the fact that OSU was considered to have the stronger resume before the game).

If they were to get 6, it would go to Minnesota over Nebraska.

Minnesota has a better chance of losing out than making the tournament IMO. Confidence is completely shot at this point. Used to the late season collapse though so it was expected. Still think Nebraska will get in. Beat NW and Wisconsin at home which I think they will and then split @IU and UI and you're at 11-7 in conference. Beat the 11 seed in the B1G tourney and that will be more than enough.
