Put to bed the Illinois talk.
no chit. if that team were an old dog, you'd put it to sleep.

What effectively constitutes a stacked conference? When you have 3 top 5 teams in the nation combined with the middle of the conference (3-4 teams) all being in or near the top 25 and an additional 1-2 that could potential make the tourney that's stacked IMO).
Indiana is only 10-5 but they posses a fairly merciless schedule Including @ #4 Syracuse, vs #5 MSU, and @ 23 Illinois. There 2 bad L's were on a neutral court vs ND and Uconn (lost by 1 pt). They're undefeated at home so far and I am not willing to count them out of having a possibility of making the tournament. I will be able to form a more accurately assess them after they face the Badgers next week.
I agree with your analysis of Michigan. I see experts and people on these boards all season stating that they will pull it together and end up in the top 4 in the Big Ten in the end but I have yet to be really impressed and they have not shown the slightest sign of pulling things together.
Illinois is not even close to a bubble team and will most likely end up were the ESPN Bracketology site has them around a 7-9 seed.
My season ticket package doesn't have the wisky game. AH is going to be rocking tonight, but I'm still expecting a badger blowout. We've shown no ability to compete against highly talented/disciplined teams.
Have you ever visited firstrowsports or vipbox? They always have the games.
Good luck and enjoy the game.
Was just looking at the standings and games tonight and saw Michigan played PSU and it occurs to me the Wolverines really havent played anyone yet in league. I guess I knew that BUT their opponents cmbined league record is 3-14.... LOL. That aint good. Maybe reserve the " Michigan looks better " talk until they beat someone n the top 4 or 5 of the league????
That's why I discredited people attempting to use the AZ victory over Mich (even though Mich was controlling the entire game) as a way to prove they deserve the number 1 spot. Mich will play their toughest game of the year at UW and test if that potential of being an elite Big-10 team is true.

Tonight's match ups:
Wisconsin @ Indiana - I don't really see an upset tonight, but IU looked better over the weekend. I don't know if the Badgers are ripe for a letdown, but it's gonna happen sometime.
Penn St @ Michigan - I see UM winning pretty big here.
I see the first loss either being @MINN or vs. MSU. If they can get through those two games, a 17-1 conference record is very doable. More realistically, I have them going 15-3 with losses @MINN, vs. MSU, @IOWA
IDK about a blowout since you're no Northwestern, it's on the road and we might be a little overconfident right now considering our 12 game winning streak vs you guys. I'm not saying an upset is looming but it's a possibility.
My Hoosier friends, for the most part, consider any loss in AH by more than 3pts a 'blowout.'
Anything's possible, but...Bo seems to have the collective EGO of this Badger team concentrated on a one-step-at-a-time NC quest...@ IU is just another step.
Bucky in a BLOWOUT!

Love him or hate him, Bo's one of the best coaches in the country... and I don't buy this chit that you have to win a national champ. to be considered elite.

Bo's probably the best pure coach (ie player development & Xs and Os) in America. But it's tough for me to consider him a truly elite coach (ie top 5-8) because his style costs us recruits left and right.
The truth is that we ought to recruit much better than we do. We are a top academic school with top ten attendance every year which wins consistently. At worst, we should be recruiting at the level of MSU or Indiana. Bo's coaching makes up for it, but I can't just ignore how much more talented our roster could be.
