One step further, Frost to wisconsin to apprentice HC under Alvarez then to NU when MR retires
Barry's working for us, I'm tellin' ya.

i agree with that. seems like he is done with that portion of his hiring.
what i don't get is, if he's retaining any staff from Bo, why hasn't that been announced? I would have interviewed those guys the first day and tried to make a decision on that, so i could move them ahead with recruiting. I guess he could have bigger targets in mind and are waiting on them to make decisions, so i guess that would be nice if they are big name guys. I think the longer announcements take, the more likely they are coaching somewhere else, either NFL or other big name colleges. although the only big name colleges that you might not get right away are those playing for the NC, Bama, OSU, Oregon, and FSU. I'd think a coach from any other staff would make the jump now.
Maybe waiting until after the bowl game? That's what I figure. Or maybe he has not had enough time to properly evaluate everyone yet. He is kinda busy right now I'd bet.
What if....Alvarez sent Eichorst here to fix us, and he stayed at Wisconsin to wait for the perfect opportunity to strike and sabotage the Badgers program, thus leaving his alma mater with an open road to get back to former glory?
Or maybe the fact that the back ups would start at almost any other school in the nation? Being a great recruiter, and/or signing great recruits, will make your coaching look a lot better than it may actually be.
Let me add this, I am not trying to downplay what has happened at tOSU this year. Incredible, however it was achieved.

I have no idea what's happening anymore. Maybe he's scared of playing Riley
I bet it's much more of a case of not wanting to tangle with Meyer again.
Book it, it is a lock
Oregon State Bruce Read Special Teams coach will be invited to join the staff.
Mike Riley said he is DEFINITELY wanting to bring over coaches from Oregon State, both Mike Riley and Shawn Eichorst GUSHED about Special Teams in the presser.
Banker hasn't had position responsibility in two years. I'm pretty sure he is gonna be the DC if comes here.
here's what I'm seeing right now:
OC - ?
DC - Mark Banker/OSU - UNCONFIRMED
OL - Mike Cavanaugh/OSU - UNCONFIRMED
RB - ?
WR/RC - Brent Brennan/OSU
DL - ?
LB - Trent Bray/OSU
DB - ?
ST - Bruce Read/OSU - UNCONFIRMED
right now, i don't really have a huge problem with it. as noted, only 1 person is confirmed.
I want to see who he gets at the positions that are left. Keep Warren at DB, and bring in Orgeron for DL, might make for a pretty good D staff. Not sure where Steele would fit in.
on O, i don't know about either guy. as others have said, Brennan seems pretty good. and we can't exactly get worse on the o-line. need to see who he finds to fill the other position coaches.
Mike Cavanaugh is joining staff as OL coach, very good OL coach but it's too bad he also coached under Riley at OSU cause -insert any OSU record here*-
-------I can guarantee you there is more to the story than those players just happening to all be great players at OSU. I bet TA would have looked a lot better with Urban as our coach.
i had taken Brennan off in the last iteration of it because of his one tweet indicating he was still recruiting for OSU.We were on top of this. We had Banker, Bray, Cavanaugh, and Read. All official now.
Brent Brennan WAS still recruiting for OSU before Wednesday's announcement. I bet he was called back to Corvallis.
You have truly lost your marbles.
I don't imagine he'd bring him for a demotion to a position coach though.
