Bubba seemed really irked about everyone kind of dismissing him as a quarterback at the army AA game. Some of the tape I saw, the coach was yelling at him after a throw and Cody Kessler was smirking at him.

Maybe that kind of thing put a fire under his belly. HOPEFULLY he's the kind of guy that wants to prove he's not just some HS system phenom.

Another thing. HOPEFULLY he's the type of kid that once he gets on campus and starts getting to know his teammates and the staff, he'll feel like he's betraying them if he leaves.

Honestly, if he feels at this time that it's best for him to take the money, then I want him to...........I don't want there to be any doubts in the minds of players who end up signing with Nebraska.

I think if you have guys who are 100% committed to your team, you will always have a championship caliber team, because they are usually willing to lay it all on the line.

Good point. I've always felt that way about kids that didn't commit to Nebraska I guess. If you don't want to be here, then we don't want you here.

as in like, you obviously weren't a good fit for this program, so we're glad you didn't choose it just to choose it.

Not that it matters much....

But if Bubba really thinks this through (with parents help), there will always be time to make dream money but never another time to be in college with the same age group of kids who are experiencing the same things he will be together. Typically, this leads to personal experiences (sports and life in general) that he would cherish for a lifetime and very possibly meeting Mrs. right...

Going into the world of sports (professionally) right out of high school may sound great until reality hits you in the face. It's no longer fun when it becomes a business before you get to experience what college has to offer.

I have no idea what he is thinking at this point and I am sure he will bounce from side to side many times before he comes to his decision, however (if he can live up to his hype) he has the potential (talent) to be a multi sport superstar like nobody here in Nebraska has done before. :usa2:

Exactly the way I see it. I really get tired of hearing people on TV say "he'd be stupid to not take the money."

Some people place all their value in life on making a bunch of green paper bills..........and some people place value on making memories, friends, and family.

We'll just have to see what happens. It's not really fair at this point to try and judge the kid's character and say he is all about making millions of dollars right out of high school. From what I've heard, I don't think that is something that is bothering Bubba so mech. I think it has more of the fact to do with the KC Royals taking him.
