High 4-star RB MarShawn Lloyd out of Maryland has committed to South Carolina. Currently, Lloyd is the #6 ranked RB in the nation.

I wonder if this impacts the Tavien Feaster's decision between VT and USC-E? I usually am not keen on sloppy seconds from other schools but in this case I can make an exception!

PSU losing out on a guy like Fleming feels like it always happens. Paterno always lost out on the 5 star PA top athlete/star, O’Brien never had a chance and Franklin was supposed to be the guy to land them. Don’t get me wrong, recruiting Franklin has done a helluva job. Particularly in MD and Virginia. But PSU continually misses out on that 5 star athlete PA sometimes has.

I mean, he managed to grab Micah Parsons a couple years ago, and he has the look of a future NFL first rounder. He also kept Miles Sanders a couple of years before that. In fact, I think the only 5* PA kid he lost other than Fleming was De'andre Swift.

4-star S Major Burns out of Baton Rouge, LA has committed to LSU. In February, Burns committed to Texas A&M, and then in March he decommitted from the Aggies.

About them being 5 stars. Breaston was from Pittsburgh and a stud. Smoker was from right by me. PSU not getting any of them seemed to be happening a lot even back then.

PSU has missed on a ton of QB's throughout the years. Ron Powlus, Rich Gannon, Jim Kelly, Dan Marino, Joe Montana. Even going back alot of years they didn't get Joe Namath or Jonny Unitas. Hell I read a story that said Joe Pa wanted to turn Jim Kelly into a LB. Lol.
