Huskers squeezed out a win on Sunday to avoid the sweep against Iowa. Huskers sit 4th in the conference at 5-3-1 with a really big weekend coming up against conference leader, Minnesota on the road.

Crayton tomorrow night

Huskers lose to Crayton last night and have now dropped 3 of their last 4.

This team needs to get their shit together fast. Big big weekend this weekend in Minnesota.

Remaining B1G opponents are
@ Minnesota
@ Ohio State (9th in conference)
vs Rutgers (12th in conference)
vs Michigan State (6th in conference)
@ Penn State (last in conference)

Should the Huskers win the series this weekend, they should, SHOULD be favored to win the remaining series and make a big push towards the postseason.

Losing 2/3 to Iowa and losing to Crayton are some bad losses. Really can't afford to lose anymore series this year especially with how weak schedule is after this weekend

Big series win. Hopefully it builds momentum into the back half of the season which looks easier on paper. RPI up to 38 after this weekend

Huskers split the double header with OSU yesterday and assuming they do not blow a 10-1 lead today they should win the series against the Buckeyes. This would leave them at 26-16-1 and 9-5-1 in conference behind only Maryland who the Huskers won 2 of 3 from earlier this year.

Remaining series are:

vs 9th place Rutgers
vs 8th place MSU
@ last place PSU

Maryland's remaining B1G schedule is

@ 12th place Illinois
vs 10th place Northwestern

No reason Huskers shouldn't lock up the 2 seed for the B1G tournament and know they can win the whole thing.

It'd be nice to win the regular season title, but I don't see Maryland having an epic end of season collapse against the cellar of the B1G

P.S. Jake Meyers is a stud

Huskers escape (literally) with a 11-9 win and series victory over OSU.

Jake Meyers pitches 7 innings allowing only 6 hits and 1 run. He also went 1 for 3 at the plate, was hit by pitch twice and scored twice.

Huskers seeep Rutgers this weekend. Don't look now but Nebraska controls their own destiny in winning the B1G regular season and getting the 1 seed in the tournament

Turns out that gay-ass tie with Indian early in the year might actually help.

Maryland (14-7) remaining B1G schedule:

vs. Northwestern

Huskers (12-5-1) remaining B1G schedule:

vs Michigan State
@ Penn State

The best Maryland can finish in conference is 17-7 if they sweep Northwestern.

With six conference games remaining, the best Nebraska can finish is 18-5-1. At 17-6-1 Nebraska would still earn the #1 seed and regular season champs. They also hold the head-to-head tie breaker with Maryland, although I'm not exactly sure when that would come into play.

Just win out and nothing else matters.
