We need Dragic to stay in Miami. Go after other PGs!!!!!

 All's fair in love, war and NBA free agency.

In all honesty, I think the Lakers will offer Dragic a max deal, he will listen, maybe even take a couple of days to think about it and then stay in Miami.

I'd be thrilled if Minny takes Okafor. Sounds like there's a good chance that happens. Okafor and Wiggins are tight apparently.

I like Towns better than Okafor. I think his game fits better alongside Randle, especially considering he could be really good defensively. Much more upside on that end of the court. His offense will improve. He is decent already with the hook from both sides. He has pretty good touch.

With the two middle of the draft picks, the Lakers need to look at wing men. I like this Justin Anderson fella from Virginia. Strong and athletic. Good defender. May be there at 27.

Oh, and stay the fuck away from Rondo!

The Lakers need to focus on the wings (Butler, Leonard, Harris, Green) this offseason. I think Harris is the only realistic one that they can get. San Antonio and Chicago will match any offers for their RFAs. I don't see Green leaving the good situation going on in Oakland.

PG: Clarkson
SG: Kobe
SF: Harris
PF: Randle
C: Towns

That's a nice young core, except Kobe, to improve organically on the court. They'll have massive spending power next summer and will likely position themselves to have the cap space to give Westbrook a maximum offer during the 2017 free agency period.

Bright future for the Lakers considering recently they had according to many "no assets and hope." They just need to keep showing some patience and not ruin things this summer with desperate signings.

I agree that Harris would be the most likely "get." I think Butler could be in play because the Bulls are at a bit of a crossroads. Do they fire Thibs? Do they blow it up and start over? Do they give this group one more season to "get it right?"

The direction they choose to go could determine how likely they are to match an offer for Butler. Also, is there any truth to the rumor that Rose wasn't happy with so much attention focused on Butler?

The Bulls have a ton of questions to answer this off-season.

Definitely prefer Butler to Harris.

And Pek will be useless with Towns. He will be coming off the bench for 12 mil....cough cough Tristan Thompson lol

Pek coming off the bench wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing IMO. Keep him healthy :hope: and playing against 2nd teamers. "Only 3" more years on that contract... could be moved/traded.

I love Pek... damn if wasn't missing so many games.

Jimmy Butler over Harris and that team might just compete for the 8 seed.

What are the odds that Chicago doesn't match?

I think pretty close to zero.

Harris on the other hand?

If the Magic draft Winslow or Stanley, I bet they will let him walk if the price is to high.

I will say that in his decidedly below average career, the closest he ever came to actually being decent was with the Lakers under Phil. When they darn near upset the Steve Nash Suns in the first round, he was a big reason.
When you think about it Kwame Brown brought the Lakers three trips to the finals, and two championships by leaving:lol:

It's hard to say what happens this summer, but with a little luck the Lakers could end up being good really fast. Past experience tells me it could be a few years before the Lakers are legitimate contenders, but I think we fans have to be happy about the future after Kobe and the next season. We might have one more rough year, but at least they will be fun to watch. I am hearing that Towns is the best choice, but I think Okafor can be just as good in spite of the system he played under. He will be reconditioned to play longer than 5 minutes at a time and will developed and integrated into the NBA system. That happens to all of them any way. And that puts a big man in the center to stop shots in the paint. We already have a developing point guard and a forward with Clarkson and Randle. So we have the future pretty much on the Lakers train that's going to run everyone down

my goodness, i normally wouldn't give this a whole lotta credence, but it IS Jim Buss we're talkin'...:L

I thought the same initially...lol

I don't think they do Byron like that. If say a Mike Brown was still head coach certainly, but not a Lakers legend like Byron.

Which is the main reason I don't believe this.

We all now the Lakers want the best of the best when it comes to Players and Coaches.

But, they don't eat their own.

This would muddy their reputation of loyalty.

I have heard rumors of a sign-and-trade. Aldridge for Griffin.

I have heard rumors of a sign-and-trade. Aldridge for Griffin.

Yeah, that has been going on for years.

Oshley was the Clips GM and the one that drafted Blake.

There are also whispers of Blake for Durant.

But, Doc would never do that because KD would walk after the Season.

Personally, I wouldn't want them to do either deal.

Before this Season?,,,sure.

But, Blake is on his way to Superstardom, as long as he cuts back on the brainfarts, and already signed longterm.

Plus, Balmer wouldnt allow them to trade Blake.
