There's definitely some risk/downside to the Cavs strategy of committing all this money.
Depending on what they do with the Haywood piece... and IF they do anything with Varejoa... it's not nearly as bad as some are making it out to be (Also depends on TT's actual numbers, which is still a ?)
I mean, If you're going to lock in a bunch of players to long term contracts this is THE BEST year to do it.
dont you find it hilarious how all these guys are trying to tear down the Cavs? It cracks me up - anyone of them would be over the moon to have their team be in the Cavs situation....you just gotta remember that the favorite always has a target on his back- and a lot of teams dont have much to root for...
Not a bad move by Boston.David Lee to Boston
Nah, Cavs will have the most pressure on them until LeBron brings one home to Cleveland. He dumped Miami, where he was winning, specifically for that reason. Every year until he wins one there is maximum pressure.
For the most part I agree, but not overpay the 9-12 players on the bench when it will probably handcuff you next year.
It really is just a case of James forcing Gilbert to try to stack the deck as much as possible to try to win NEXT season.
Things is, for James, if it implodes, he can leave.
Simple as that.
No, no, no. Not collectively throughout his career. I was referring to the same season in which you boasted about his 11 blocks in 13 playoff games. All four years.. he's hovered right around 1/4 of a block a game. Nothing to brag about, but not horrible for his position, either.
not true. That might be one of the worst statements I ever saw. I don't see no other team spending that much. Cavs will be 200-250 mill. I think the next team will be at 165mill(trying to find out now the amount).

So a team that had the best record in the league best point differential, best offense and best defense is lucky??

As a fan 100% but don't act like they aren't trying to really Buy a championship especially when there is no other team to compare to. This just adds more pressure to the Cavs and LBJ. They have to win one now and their best chance will be this coming year. Cavs are locked with this team for the next 3-5 years. There is no wiggle room for this team.If you have to pay the tax you are still trying to get a championship, whether you want to believe it or not lol. Like I have said I could care less about Gilbert, so he owes this to Cleveland and Lebron after the things he said.
They could go a $1 billion over the cap, doesnt matter.

I do think GS got a little lucky to play all 3 teams with No PG. but like someone said luck is always part of a championship. U need a little luck on your side. It doesn't hurt. GS had a great year and u cant take anything away from them. Do I think they were one of the best champions in the last 10 years no but they were 1 hell of a team. Now if they win it again this year, now u can start talking about a Great team. There is always luck involved with every championship. The teams they played had major injuries in the playoffs. Great season, but you would be a fool to deny luck didnt play a part.
The funny part is you don't even realize (or refuse to realize, since you claim to be the smartest here) that YOU put that target on their back every time you post a book on here about their greatness, the owner being the richest and smartes of all the other owners & then try to force that horse hockey down our throats!dont you find it hilarious how all these guys are trying to tear down the Cavs? It cracks me up - anyone of them would be over the moon to have their team be in the Cavs situation....you just gotta remember that the favorite always has a target on his back- and a lot of teams dont have much to root for...
Yes! Lee is finally traded to free cap space
