Unless LMA goes to the Spurs or Rox, and barring injury, no Team has improved enough to challenge the 2 Teams that made it to the Finals.

Maybe you give a healthy Thunder Team a punchers chance.

But, the Cavs should walk into the Finals again.
Yeah, the Hawks, Bucks & Bulls will all be good teams, but not good enough to take down Cleveland. Toronto and Washington probably fall a step behind those other teams, but Cavs are almost a lock to get back.

Golden State? Not so fast. Thunder with a healthy Ibaka, Westbrook & Durant alongside Kanter, Adams and Morrow as solid role players could easily knock off the Warriors. I'd still take KD and RW over the Splash Brothers any day. Factor in Ibaka and Kanter plus whoever else they add this offseason and I think we could see a great WCF matchup.

Still need to see what Houston, LAC, Dallas, San Antonio & Memphis do the rest of this offseason, but the West is sooo deep still. Hell, even the Pelicans could be scary in the first round with a healthy Jrue/Anderson. I wouldn't be surprised to see any of those teams (minus Dallas and SA (if they don't sign LMA) upset one or the other. And if PHX lands Aldridge they step into the equation as a playoff team and scary first round matchup as well.

I think either the Heat or Pacers are playing the Cavs is the ECF.

Why? He was scheduled to make 16.
Its a 4M re-gift. By opting out last year Wade saved the Heat 4-5 M. Now they are even. Slate is clean.

The only thing that mattered was limiting him to 1 year, so mission accomplished.

Im just shocked how Lakers and Knicks are the laughing stock of the NBA. Its so weird to see players not want to go there. I remember when Monroe some what mention he was 100% going the knicks. Guess what that didn't happen. I don't players want to play with Kobe and Melo. That's the only thing I can come up with.

Damn it Dallas got Mathews. He turned down Kings 4 years 64 mill. Damn it Bulls.
I really wanted the Bulls to land him.

Takes Dallas out of the running for any max player.

The 'running of this Bulls ' with this current core is maxed out.
It's just not good enough.
Round 1 casualty again this season.

u mean rd 2

I mean round 1.

But, were talking July in the middle of FA.

I just don't see how the 2 teams that were the best before last year, then were hit with all types of turbulence, but have now recovered don't once again become serious threats IYO.
The Pacers were not that bad, now George is back plus Ellis.

The Knicks are not doing that bad.

Aflallo and Lopez are solid veteran contributors still in their 20s.
The contracts seem exceptionally well designed and limited risk.

The Knicks are not tossing around stupid cash like other teams for 2nd tier guys.
That is why they havent gotten any of the "so called" big names.

Maybe Cleveland can go "all in" and overpay guys.....that is a calculated risk.
What good would breaking the bank for someone like Monroe do for the Knicks.

The Knicks are taking a slow steady approach with their draft pick and signings.

Now, The LAKERS...... well that is a diffrent story....

adding those players mean crap when you aren't at that level of winning. These would be good role players if they had a solid team. Its a waste right now unless Phil has something up his sleeves. I do agree these aren't bad deals compared to what others are giving out. I mean Damn Cavs 2 bench players make more then both of these guys.

I would for the Bulls to trade for Johnson from the Nets. 1 problem 25 mill dollars. We wouldn't be able to match the offer. Only chance is if we give Noah and Hinrich but Nets would have to give us at least a 1st rd pick. Johnson would look nice in that line up. Great SG next to Rose and Butler. Can play D and is a good playoff guy.

Depends on seeding, and obviously health (same for every other team), but how have you improved?
Those scoring droughts KILL you. It happens almost every game.

I don't know about Melo, but it's not true about Kobe. Sure there are a few that are "scared" of his non-filtered approach, however, there have been stars that were willing to GO to LA to play with him. KG & CP3 are a couple. It's interesting how the league made sure that didn't happen. Kobe isn't the type and never has been the type to cut corners or join another team just at a better chance at winning.

I didnt know this, but on draft night the Cavs tried to trade the Haywood contract and their 1st rounder for George Hill. Indiana declined obviously.
