Let's guess who it is. I'll say Carlisle or Frank Vogel. He did say "nobody sees it coming" so I figure that would eliminate guys like Whitman who was on the hot seat for awhile

It's Blatt. That way Lebron can get settled as player/coach before the finals start.

Didn't he opt out of his contract last summer to sign for less? Trying to get some of that back now I guess.

Yeah but he is kidding himself if he think he is going to get 20 mill yearly for the final 2-3 years of his career.

16 mil for him is about right. If he is opting out, he is expecting more so I'm assuming around 3 yr/60 mil.

Sorry but paying 20 mil yearly for a guy who is going to be approaching 35/36 years old in the final 2 years of the contract is a bit ridiculous.

I agree. His agent may be overvaluing what he can get on the open market. I'm sure he wants a longer and secure contract though given his age.

I think they'll sort it out. They have a roughly a month to work this out.....not even in June yet

Could be disastrous for Miami if Wade walks. Dragic may not want to sign there. I don't think that happens though.

Dragic might like it more. He'll get more run. He's already he'd like to play faster. You can move around quicker without busted up Wade trailing along.

Lakers should sign Dragic and D-Wade and then have D-Wade and Kobe alternate games all season.

Based on what Wade wants, your two SGs would be taking up the entire cap. But good idea...

Remember that tweet Chris Sheridan had saying a mystery coach would be let go? Now he's saying the signs are pointing to it being Jeff Hornacek. The basis is Hornacek would be interested in coaching his alma mater, Iowa St, now that Hoiberg has left.

After Sheridan said he knew 100% Lebron was going back to Cleveland a week before LBJ actually announced it, I believe every word from Sheridan

Meh, he had a 50/50 shot at it and just went all in with it. Now if he gets this right too, it'll be time to really start relying on him.

Really Bad idea IMO. Wasn't that long ago when he accidently broke news he got from a fake Broussard account. :dhd:

I totally agree with you that he should be happy with 16 million- but a team that wants to make a splash- realizing that NEXt summer the cap is going to be in the 90's, and the year after that in the low 100's- I could see overpaying Wade. Right now 16 million out of a 65 million cap is actually more prohibitive than 20 million on a 94 million dollar cap.....

That being said- I could not imagine Wade playing else where and I would expect a deal to be done at some point.
