The Suns paying $13 mil a season for a 34 year old rim protector is not looking too bad now. And here I thought last seasons FA market was getting overpaid...

Wow Cavs are going crazy right now. 10 mill for a bench player. Holly crap. They now are paying 26 mill per year for 2 bench players(Iman and Moz).

The SPURS plan has always been planning to trade either Splitter or Diaw. That is not a shock.

Then use that money to take a shot at a big name....and if that fall through use it get a small forward.

They need small forward depth.

No doubt they would absolutely love to get a big name for the first time ever, but the SF plan is their safety school.

They would love to get Aldridge, but they understood from day one if guys like (Aldridge, Gasol, etc) don't come to SA.....they would go after someone like Mirza Teletovic.

I was hoping they would trade Diaw rather than Splitter, but it was expected Aldridge or not.

So have the Cavs forgotten that they still have to sign lebron?!? Surely they're all maxed out by now!
With LBJ they will hit the 250 mill with tax hit. Gilbert is going all in. They say by the time these contracts run out he would pay 1 Billion dollars for 4-5 years of basketball.

Billionaire is willing to pay tax money for the next 5 years. Total cost for this roster after taxes will be in the $300 mil range. And that is a team with zero improvements & Lebron getting a year older.

If the Lakers end up with Harris as their big signing...........I'm done being a Laker fan. He's a good player but not even close to the max deal he's seeking.

250-300 mill per year for a not so great Lineup. Good yes very good yes but great no. Cavs still have a lot of flaws.

He is very good and young. I think who ever lands him getting a real nice player. A good #2/#3 player.

Basically fucking the Cavs fans over buy adding on an extra $100 a seat for home games :L

The Cavs also lucked out in the playoffs with other Eastern conference teams having players go down do to injury. Who knows how the EC playoffs shake out with a healthy Atlanta & Chicago.

40 million for Shumpert? Wow

Now let's hope JR is next on Gilbert's list of over paying.

This could turn into one of the all time greatest train wrecks.

Long term guarantees lead to complacency.
'Knowing' the regular season starts in April leads to laziness.
Having James' constantly barking at you leads to resentment.

LOL. Looks like GM and owner Lebron is trying to buy him a championship. Wonder if he plays for $1 and screws all the players by allowing the owners to say see what Lebron did. If he is not playing for a $1, he is really going to stick it to Gilbert. $15 million for Thompson, $22 million for Love, Varejao at $10 million, Shumpert at $10 million, Masgov at $5 million, Miller at $2.8 million. Lebron in excess of $20 million would put them north of 85 million and that is just 7 players. A new meaning to their expression "All In".......

I am rooting hard for Lebron to sign elsewhere.

That would be the single biggest dick move in the history of sports.

It has a .0000000000000000000000001% chance of happening, but my God would that be one of the most spetacular twitter crashing moments in history.
