You can never have too many knives.
The Suns paying $13 mil a season for a 34 year old rim protector is not looking too bad now. And here I thought last seasons FA market was getting overpaid...
With LBJ they will hit the 250 mill with tax hit. Gilbert is going all in. They say by the time these contracts run out he would pay 1 Billion dollars for 4-5 years of basketball. So have the Cavs forgotten that they still have to sign lebron?!? Surely they're all maxed out by now!

Tobbi Harris would look nice with you guys. The SPURS plan has always been planning to trade either Splitter or Diaw. That is not a shock.
Then use that money to take a shot at a big name....and if that fall through use it get a small forward.
They need small forward depth.
No doubt they would absolutely love to get a big name for the first time ever, but the SF plan is their safety school.
They would love to get Aldridge, but they understood from day one if guys like (Aldridge, Gasol, etc) don't come to SA.....they would go after someone like Mirza Teletovic.
I was hoping they would trade Diaw rather than Splitter, but it was expected Aldridge or not.
250-300 mill per year for a not so great Lineup. Good yes very good yes but great no. Cavs still have a lot of flaws.Billionaire is willing to pay tax money for the next 5 years. Total cost for this roster after taxes will be in the $300 mil range. And that is a team with zero improvements & Lebron getting a year older.
He is very good and young. I think who ever lands him getting a real nice player. A good #2/#3 player. If the Lakers end up with Harris as their big signing...........I'm done being a Laker fan. He's a good player but not even close to the max deal he's seeking.

40 million for Shumpert? Wow

and throw in miami and Wash. East should be better next year. East is a toss up.The Cavs also lucked out in the playoffs with other Eastern conference teams having players go down do to injury. Who knows how the EC playoffs shake out with a healthy Atlanta & Chicago.
