MLB.com's Todd Zolecki reports that the Blue Jays have acquired Ben Revere from the Phillies.

It's unclear at this point what the Blue Jays are giving up in return. Revere will take over in left field for Toronto and possibly slide into the leadoff spot. He could score a ton of runs in front of that dynamic offense

Sounds like they're not gonna make a big move, maybe something small like adding a LHP.

Cardinals really went dumpster diving with Moss and Broxton. I think Mozeliak has finally gone insane

The Cards will find a way to turn them into productive players

Fulmer is a solid pitcher heading Detroit's way. Of the outfield bats I probably like Cespedes the best so it's a welcome addition. Still have a weak link in center (batting wise at least). Hopefully they use some of the Colon/Daniel Murphy money coming off the books at the end of the year to resign this guy.

Back in 1998 everyone thought the Mariners got ripped off when they dealt Randy Johnson to the Astros. All they got were a couple of no name prospects which included pitcher Freddy Garcia and shortstop Carlos Guillen. Both of those guys became core players and helped the Mariners return to contention which included a 116 win season in 2001. Although Randy Johnson helped the Astros reach the playoffs in 1998 but they would get eliminated in the division series and would ultimately lose Randy Johnson to free agency at the end of the season.

Point is, you can't determine the winners and losers of the trade deadline this early. Every trade is a gamble and you won't know the results until you actually see them.
