That led to the strip/sack/TD, didn't it? And yeah, it was huge. The NFL needs to do *something* about catch v. not a catch. What really sucked about that one is that the guy who called it incomplete was the side judge who was NO WHERE near enough to see the ball and was on the wrong side of the field. If that's called a catch on the field, it's upheld. I just wish common sense was a thing.
Yep, same series. That call made a huge difference.

And the Denver offense wasn't moving the ball at all...really, their defense scored them 15 points. A strip sack for TD and a strip sack with the ball inside the 10. Even if they don't score there somehow, like if Cam gets the ball, I think mentally that was the beginning of the end. No confidence in the first series of the game, then not getting a call, then the strip sack...just done.

I actually feel worst for the Panthers D. They completely locked down Denver's O all night. 15 of Denver's 24 points were off of turnovers and one FG was off of a huge punt return.

Ealy's performance is going to get overlooked, and it's a damn shame. He had just as good of a game as Von Miller. 3 sacks, strip/fumble recovery, INT.

Hey remember when Peyton stormed off the field after losing the SB to the Saints and didnt shake anyone's hands? Here is how one writer described that:

Walking off the field without congratulating Drew Brees may go against our misguided notion of what sportsmanship should be, but it wasn't at all disrespectful or bitter. It shows how much Peyton Manning wanted to win the game. And who can argue about that?

And another player is classless or a poor leader because he left a press conference in which he was sitting next to someone joyously explaining how they stopped him.

I wonder what the difference is.
Peyton also left the field before time expired that day. What a competitor who hates to lose!

Thank you, Alain Vigneault for ripping the NHL for not suspending Wayne Simmonds. It's a start. The NHL deserves to be lambasted 100 times over like this. However, I fear the coach is gonna get fined for this because the NHL is run like a totalitarian regime.

If you're saying Simmonds should be suspended for breaking his stick and throwing it at the refs, it is in the rule book and does carry a three game suspension.

However, if you're thinking Simmonds should be suspended for that sneaky punch on McDonagh, nah, no way, McDonagh was pissed by the hit and laid the lumber on Simmonds a couple of times, he should be ready for some retaliation.

Alain and you all can complain, but I do not think the NFL is going to suspend Simmonds.

Manning is quite the diva. There’s the ridiculous on-field histrionics—the incessant hand-waving, stomping, and audibling—along with the time he was caught fighting with his offensive line, or throwing them under the bus following a tough 2006 playoff loss to the Steelers. “I’m trying to be a good teammate here,” said Manning during the postgame press conference. “Let’s just say we had some problems with protection.”

I liked it when Peyton Manning called Mike Vanderjagt an "idiot kicker who got liquored up and ran his mouth" at the Pro Bowl.

I'll be fair to PeyPey on Vanderjagt...Vanderjagt publicly called out a franchise QB in his prime. Come on, bro.
