My brother in law would flip his shit if he heard this, as Joe Theisman is not just the greatest QB who ever lived, he is a model American and he was the greatest TV analyst the NFL has ever seen.

Lol. Joe Thighsman (why didn't they just change the spelling too, Dash) is a great commentator and a great leader. But those Redskins' teams RAN their way to Super Bowls behind one of the best offensive lines in history.

Theismann had 160 TDs and 138 picks. Not terrible in that era, but certainly not great. He was never at risk to win a MVP and made two pro bowls. His '83 and '84 seasons were outstanding, but aside from that, he was Trent Dilfer.

I met Joe Theismann in the Virgin Islands. My wife and I were there on vacation and he was seated behind me in first class. I thanked him for talking positively about the CFL and told him the Argos have sucked since he left them to join the Redskins, we shared a laugh and a drink on the flight.
