Alright, I changed me mind......

We need thee 5-stars

 Idk if you're bein sarcastic but i mean that's not really what I was asking people to pull from that.

I mean, look at those Auburn recruiting classes... Sometimes all it takes is one player. In their case it was Cam Newton.

Though he WAS a 5 star recruit

Still, Auburn is the exception to the rule.

Nah, it does make sense......

There is a reason why Pelini's best team in 5 years was the one he had in 2009..........had a shit ton of talent to work with on D

It's just one of a couple key things that, if you don't have, you are essentially dead in the water as a program.

There were plenty of teams through those years who had similar averages as the title winners, but simply didn't have the coaching or the dumb luck you sometimes need.

It's just uber competitive and for the last decade Nebraska has been playing with one hand tied behind their back.

Or in the case of the last CCG, seemingly both hands are tied behind their back. :L

That's my point, I'm not trying to discredit coaching at all, but recruiting is ESSENTIAL.

People like vinnie and jed just think you need to bring in warm bodies and coach every single one of them up.

Amazing how naive, or in their case just plain stupid some people can be.

Oh, and our coaching is just that bad. Yes, it is that bad.

Our rushing attack has been decent this season, but it hasn't been do to decent Line play.........if you watch closer, it's due to misdirection and multiplicity.

Our playbook is big enough that we keep Defenses guessing, and the zone-read obviously has reeled off a bunch of nice runs for Taylor.

But you don't see our RB's hitting gaping holes straight up the gut like you do Alabama. Those holes don't exist. When we run a straight dive right up the gut, we're usually hoping Rex can carry 5 guys on his back for an extra 3 yards.

I agree with you.

The run game has opened up due to the threats at receiver.

When NU has to get tough yards (third and short) between the tackles they've struggled. Even against the mid-majors. I think even Beck has little confidence, considering how many pass plays he called when inside the opponents 5. First and goal from the 5 and you throw it 3 times?

Other teams however, have had considerable success running between the tackles against NU.

There was somewhat of a short yardage exception @ Iowa, but a lot of that was just Burkhead determination.

K State is an exception to the rule in recruiting rankings. But they play good fundamental football. Snyder pays attention to detail.

Turnovers, penalties, special teams, tackling. K. State just doesn't shoot themselves in the foot.

Sounding good for Terrell Newby. And Priest, sounds like LSU kinda snubbed Priest. Also sounds like priest really wants to play for LSU. But the in home with TJ went as good as possible

And they won't be playing in the national championship.

And they got their asses kicked by Arkansas last year. They couldn't match the talent on the field

They could have done all the scheming up they wanted, but the fact of the matter was Arkansas was bigger and faster and it showed.

No they won't be playing for the national championship, but in three years under Snyder they did win their conference, had a #1 ranking, are top 5 with 11 wins, and Snyder was named AP Big 12 Coach of the Year.

In just his second year on the job (2011) Snyder was named the Woody Hayes Coach of the Year, the Sporting News National Coach of the Year, and the Big 12 Conference Coach of the Year.

All that with far less talent than Pelini has.

What was it that Bo Pelini accomplished in his 5 years at Nebraska again?

So wait, did they win a national title? Last I checked a number 1 ranking outside of the final week doesn't mean jack SHIT.

Their "number 1 team" got humiliated by a 5 loss Baylor.

And how many bowl games has Snyder won since he's been back? He's 0-2 soon to be 0-3.

They lost to Syracuse and Arkansas and they're about to get their shit pushed in vs Oregon.

Are you that much of a dumbass to realize Snyder has done more with sub-50ranked players in 3 years than Pelini has done with mid 20 ranked players in 5 years?
