Another 'rough around the edges' high school QB that everybody see's as a potential college level DB, but BO is gonna gaurantee a QB slot to.

He's an elite 11 finalist. No one is projecting him at DB and hes a top 15 DT on every major recruiting service save scout. And LOL @ scout.

He's miles ahead of where TM was at this point.

Yes they are. He's being offered by some as an 'Athlete'. ie..Safety

Right now nothing.

His Freshman and Soph years are easily forgiven. Having 3 years on campus now, it's time for him to produce tho.

Wisconsin and Oregon seemed to have no issue offering him at QB.

Stanton is more of a pure QB, pass first, run if you need to second, Becks type of QB. He's not super fast, but he can run between tackle when needed. We can just use our RB's to run the football I figure.

Stanton played Safety his Soph year in high school. He only played QB last year (Jr). He's been recruited by many as an 'Athlete' with the opportunity to compete for the QB position.

Even Stanton admits he's not the sharpest passer yet but with his abilities to throw, run and lead a team - Santa Margarita is one of Southern California's powerhouse programs - he believes he has something to offer a college program.

"Max Browne is obviously one of the best passers in the country and I'm not to his level yet passing so that's one reason why I'm not on that level yet," Stanton said.

"I'm definitely working on the passing. The athlete [label], it helps me but it hurts me as well. I'm trying to go with it and trying to prove as much as I can."

"I'd definitely rather play quarterback," he said. "At this point in time I want to play quarterback. The schools that have offered me as an athlete aren't as appealing to me but they're definitely not off the table."

I'm not anointing the kid, but at least he already knows how to throw a football, and that is a step in the right direction. Rank our receiving core #1 (B1G) all we want, we all know how it ends, this year included.
