I'm not sure Miller falls to the 53rd pick but if he does this would make 3 straight Drafts where the Bengals hit a home run.

----------------------------------------------------------------
17. Cincinnati Bengals (from OAK) Record: 9-7 | Top needs: CB, G, WR, SS, DL, RB David DeCastro*, G, Stanford
DeCastro is the No. 12 overall prospect on our board but falls a bit because of positional value. He would be a great addition for the Bengals in front of young QB Andy Dalton.

21. Cincinnati BengalsRecord: 9-7 | Top needs: CB, G, WR, SS, DL, RB Stephon Gilmore*, CB, South Carolina
Gilmore is rising fast thanks to a combination of size (6-0½, 190), quick feet and ball skills, and even the Bengals likely will pass on Jenkins in favor of Gilmore.

53. Bengals Lamar Miller RB Miami (Fla.)

Gilmore is being touted as a top 15 pick now. I hope he makes it to us, but I doubt he lasts til 21.

G and CB in the first round is exactly what we should be shooting for.

I'm thinking more likely to go WR and G in the first, depending on who's available.

I am geeking for Kendall Wright. I think he will be a dynamic playmaker and someone just a notch behind Blackmon in this years draft.

I really like Big K from Boston College too, and it would be nice to finally have a franchise type MLB to QB our defense for the next 10 years.

I would not be opposed to taking a chance on a guard in the second round if it meant Wright and Kueckly in the 1st.

I'll be pissed if they dont take a OG in the 1st (especially if DeCastro is there at 17). It depends though...if by some miracle Trent Richardson is there at 17 and another great player at 21 (say Floyd). No matter what they asolutely have to take an OG in the first two rounds.

No way Richardson falls to 17. His pro-day was insane, as expected. Someone is going to take him, and take him in the top 10.

DeCastro is the guy if he's there at 17, but what if Floyd is also there? Bengals could wait til 21 to take a guard, and if Decastro is gone, then the guy from Georgia should still be around (Cordy Glenn, I think it is).

I'm not huge on Floyd, but as a #2 in this offense, I think he would be a good fit, talent-wise.

The Bengals don't value exceptional guards that much. exhibit a: Eric M. Ghiaciuc

I won't die if we don't take a guard early, just so long as we take a guard in the first 4 (maybe 5) rounds. If he's too good, we won't keep him around.

I essentially agree with you, guys, I just don't think its a good fit for the Bengals.

Would be glad to have him though.

I don't want any WR in the first round. Inside out. G is an absolute must. CB is a much bigger need.

CB is a big need, especialy since, you know, Clements is moving to Saftey.

How many times do we seriously need to say that Richardson and Kuechley won't be available at 17? It happens in every fucking draft thread. Neither will be bengals. Get it through your head.

You'd cut Clements? Lol. I'm glad we have MB as opposed to you.

I think he's exaggerating for effect. Clements can't be contracted for long, and at the worst, we could demote him to backup after we draft his replacement.

He's in year 2 of a 2 year deal.

I am just seeing a fact we signed one guard to be an upgrade, and the team has been building up Boling and Hundson all offseason so far. I just see them as taking the bigger specialty talent over a guard in the first thinking they have their starters already. Not saying it is right, I am not saying it is wrong either, as there is so much talent available between 17-21, it will be very hard decision to be made, especially if DeCastro is gone. If he is there, it is less difficult probably, but they may ultimately decide to upgrade a couple other spots in immediate need of a playmaker (MLB and WR).

If Kuechly and Jefferys/Wright are available at picks 17 and 21....be tough not to take a MLB who will anchor your defense for the next 10 years who is being compared favorably with Zach Thomas, and two WR's who would make awesome #2 WR's, both of which could become #1 type WR's in most offenses if not for AJ Green, they would be our #1 here right away also.

I am not denying we need another guard, but what will be available at guard following the 1st round?

What happens if Lamar Miller falls to us in the 2nd then when we are prepared to select a guard especially with the talent drop off after DeCastro and Glenn? Would it be worth passing on the guard for one more round in favor of Lamar Miller to backup BJGE, escially since he is a speed back with good hands and BJGE is the ground and pound between the tackles kinda back?

Too many tough decisions.
