That is the question

Should anyone take a shot at drafting Gronk?

I think he and Harvin were on the Insiders list of players not to draft... But I don't get the insider so I can't confirm.

No thanks, someone will pick him in the 3rd or 4th round much to early IMO...

Yeah everyone is a gamble but some players are just too much of a gamble... Even at the higher rounds

Not a big fan of taking the TE early, especially that TE.. but if he falls right. . Sure. I generally don't want to take one until the 5th, preferably later. . And he ain't falling that far

Not saying I won't take him. But by the time I'd consider it, he's going to be long gone anyway.

His injury history is concerning.

I dont know, i dont think he is that big of a gamble... Given, i wouldnt draft him in hte second round and would only draft him late 3rd round or 4th round... The good thing about gambling on TEs is that you can still get a pretty decent backup pretty late... Very nice security blanket... and if he plays 10 games or more then he will be worth the 3rd round pick you gambled, maybe even worth a 2nd round...

His list of injuries is long and varied. Like Harvin, it seems like he's not built quite right.

But the payoff is so big it may be worth the risk. TE value plateaus so fast that you can find a supplemental TE that's not much worse than the other teams' starters (except Graham). But if Gronk plays you get a big advantage.

The problem is when he doesn't play you lose that value and he's going to go higher then what he's worth; just like Harvin I'd rather ignore both players at the spot they're going (obviously would take a chance if they'd fall down quite a bit) and see what they can do this season before I'm buying into them

4th round? Maybe in a 10 team he is going in the late second/3rd now but this week's preseason games could move some players up.

Personally Gronk is feeding off of this ego boost and I think thats bad. He thinks he;s the greatest player on the field and fantasy freaks and experts stroke his ego. He's also being too heralded despite his constant getting hurt. He should be ranked where he was last year but due to his boom potential he's ranked too high.
