Sometimes you have to go try an improve your team. Plus with the league rule of spending a certain amount of money. We call that the Jacksonville Jaguars rule.

Teams like the Jaguars, Browns etc aren't gonna lure free agents away if they don't over pay.

Simmons will take the FS spot, Stewart will play down in the box like we saw in the GB game.

I have no problems with this at all actually. Ward was oft injured, and wasn't a PFM leader, but his role could be filled by others. I liked him as a player, but I'm not upset or worried about this at all.

Sucks to see the D getting older and losing people, I'll always appreciate what Ward brought to the field and I wish him the best when not playing the Broncos, we're going to be OK at Safety.

I don't know about "professionally," but the Broncos treated TJ Ward with indifference. The FO hadn't even told Vance Joseph according to the HC's comments.

This decision had some logic to it, but it appears to have been arrived at abruptly and without consultation. It will be hard for VJ - to keep the team's respect if he doesn't know what is going on with the FO. When that happens - the players may believe Vance Joseph when he tells them something, but mistrust his authority to carry out any promises.

Yeah it does seem like VJ is pretty out of the loop.

You coach boy!

I do the rest sorta thing.

Either he didn't know, or he knew and didn't want that monkey on his back.

Can't say I blame him.

Funny how players are gaga about an organization, until they get cut, or can't come to an agreement. TJ has been injury prone, never played this preseason, was owed 4.5mm on the final year of his contract, wanted more than we wanted to give, and had two players behind him, one of which could easily be put into the starting rotation without skipping a beat.

Yeah, if you didn't see the writing on the wall, that's on you.

Honestly I don't blame Elway for keeping the coach out of the loop. he's brand new just let him coach the players on the field and let the front office worry about personnel decisions .
