Mike Munchak gets another chance to right the ship for the Titans.

Indications are team president/CEO Tommy Smith has decided to retain the coach for the 2014 season, according to sources familiar with the situation.

The Titans finished 7-9, putting Munchak on the hot seat with one year remaining on his contract. He met with Smith on Friday in Houston and convinced him that the team is close to a breakthrough.

He basically knows now that 2014 will be his last year here if he can't get the team into the Playoffs. We'll see how it goes...

I'm outraged. I just don't have confidence in Munchak and this isn't anything but another wasted season. This team is built so that one major injury and our season is over.
